ABOUT CREATIVE LEARNING ADVENTURES

ABOUT ME

I have extensive experience working with children, young people, and families, spanning ages 2 to 78. My background includes teaching, tutoring, coaching, and mentoring, alongside acting and improvisation, and leading creative projects in schools and communities. I have led filmmaking projects on topics such as female spies and Victorian schools, contributed to early years educational magazines, and developed playwork initiatives.

I have also worked with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), using a tailored and thoughtful approach to support their individual learning needs. My experience running theatre skills sessions in psychiatric hospitals has deepened my understanding of emotional and creative development, which I bring into all my teaching. My values are grounded in my Christian faith and guide how I teach, support, and encourage learners of all ages, ensuring that every child is met with compassion, understanding, and respect, and deserves the chance to grow in confidence, curiosity, and self-belief, flourishing in their own time and in their own way.

BESPOKE WORKSHOPS AND CREATIVE SESSIONS FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES
Rooted in creativity, care, and working with families and communities of all backgrounds.

I am passionate about delivering creative and engaging sessions for home-educated children, families, and community groups, as well as providing enrichment workshops for schools, events, heritage spaces, festivals, and parties. I specialise in crafting innovative, bespoke workshops and activity sessions that inspire and make learning fun and memorable. Whether we’re exploring core subjects from the National Curriculum,  or delving into children’s  unique interests such as a beloved book character, aeroplanes,  pets, or even abstract concepts like love or  happiness, my approach is always to nurture children’s natural curiosity and to make learning interactive and playful.
